March 2022- A Playlist

Updated: Mar 1

It is March again. The light is flowing back in through curtains, but the air is still cold. This time, two years ago, cities that never sleep were going dark, and the most brightly burning outgoing of us were retreating behind masks and closed doors.

Today, we are anxiously watching our screens, scanning the news in all forms, and sending prayers and anxiety flying through the universe faster than the events we are anxious about can possibly keep up.

I’ve had a few conversations with friends who were there on the day the Towers fell. For that reason, and a few others I’m not ready to share yet, I have been thinking of New York. I’ve been having deeper conversations with those in my circle. The ripple effect is here; the world is in turmoil, and my own little found family soon will be too. I’ve been thinking of New York. I’ve been thinking of war. I’ve been thinking of change. I have been thinking of the goals and dreams I’ve been hustling so hard for, and I have been thinking about what I would do if the field I’ve been working so hard to get into looks entirely different by the end of the week. By the end of the month.

Every month I make a playlist, of about 13 songs. Sometimes they go together, sometimes they don’t. I’ve decided to begin sharing them with all of you. I hope you enjoy the sound of March 2022 among the trees. Check out my instagram, and music page on this site to give it a listen.

What are you listening to? What are you reading? What are you thinking a lot about?

Let me know. Or better yet, make a playlist.
